Crochet Striped Baby Girl Hat

Crochet Baby Girl Striped Beanie | She's Got the Notion

Do you remember my Baby Boy Striped Hat crochet pattern? Well I decided that it's not just for boys. A friend asked me to make one for a baby girl because she didn't want anything too girly. I love the pink and gray stripes color combination.

I went with Caron Simply Soft, one of my favorite yarns to work with because it's very soft (I used it for the Cloudburst Shawl and the Crochet Heart Garland). The softness makes it perfect for babies. Since I was using a slightly heavier yarn, I went up a hook size to the recommended 'H' hook. I did not adjust the pattern at all so this hat is slightly bigger. Since it is a springtime baby, I wanted to make a hat that she could grow into and possibly still wear in the fall and winter.
