DIY Rhinestone Wire Bunny Ears

DIY Rhinestone Bunny Ears: make your own rabbit ears out of wire, a metal headband, and rhinestone chain. Perfect for Easter craft! | She's Got the Notion

Easter is coming up soon, so what better way to dress up for the occasion than with some adorable bunny ears. I actually made these ears for an Ariana Grande concert, but I definitely plan on re-using them for Easter as well.

The ears are quick and easy to make--I made 5 pairs in a couple hours. The hardest part might be finding the supplies to make it. The wire should be easily found at any craft store. I found the rhinestone chain at Michael's, however, it was in the clearance section (which was a win for me, but it means it might be harder to find there now). I ended up buying the headbands from the clearance rack at Claire's. They had yarn wrapped around them, but I managed to unwrap the yarn fairly easily.

Shamrock Flower Crown: Free Crochet Pattern

Shamrock Flower Crown for St. Patrick's Day: free crochet pattern for a 3-leaf or 4-leaf clover flower chain | She's Got the Notion

Green isn't a prominent color in my wardrobe. So when St. Patrick's Day rolls around I'm usually scrambling to find something to wear. I usually have to settle for an article of clothing that is much more teal than kelly green or something green I've literally only kept around to wear once a year. Sometimes, however, I end up just tying a green ribbon in my hair.

I wanted to be prepared this year. One thing I do happen to have in green is yarn, so I decided to start from there. Instead of just a scarf or hat, I wanted something specifically festive for St. Patrick's Day. After all, I will probably be pairing it with some less-than-green clothing. I decided I wanted to make a flower crown. Specifically, a clover flower crown!

The Big Knot Headband in more colors!

The Big Knot Headband | She's Got the Notion

Another gift I made this past Christmas (yes I was crocheting for weeks!) was my Big Knot Headband in several different colors. I hear a lot from family and friends that read my blog that they'd love something I made in purple/red/orange, etc. Well, I can't make all the colors, but I came pretty close with these.

They are all still made using Red Heart Soft yarn. I had plenty of yarn leftover too, so I have all of these colors up for sale in my Etsy shop.

Fleece Ear Warmers Sewing Tutorial: Two Versions

Scalloped Fleece Ear Warmers: sewing tutorial | She's Got the Notion

I've got an easy sewing tutorial for you today for my 6 Weeks of Gifting series. These fleece ear warmers are cozy and perfect for running and other outdoor activities in the wintertime. They keep your ears warm while still being able to wear your ear buds to listen to music. And if you have long hair, it doesn't get in the way of your ponytail. It can be a perfect last minute gift too as you can sew up a few of these in less than an hour. I've made two different versions of these: straight-edged and scalloped. The straight-edged ear warmer is very quick and easy and would make great gifts for guys. The scalloped-edge ear warmer takes a bit more time and work, but I think the results are well worth it. It gives it a prettier and more feminine detail.

The Big Knot Headband: crochet pattern

The Big Knot Headband: free crochet pattern | She's Got the Notion

I'm excited to offer a free crochet pattern for my 6 Weeks of Gifting Series. Knit and crochet earwarmers have been very popular the past couple years and I wanted to make my own take on them. Many of the knotted headband patterns are actually two crochet pieces sewed together and not an actual knot. I wanted to design a headband that had the look of a big, real knot.
